PLO Technical Architect Training Program Overview

The Partner-Led Onboarding (PLO) program is part of the Braze Partner Services initiative, which enables us to diversify our service delivery network, afford our customers' optionality, and augment Braze services for scale and reach. Our mission is to develop and expand a world-class global network of agency partners who deliver effective Braze onboarding services and experiences.

A Technical Architect (TA) is a technical consultant, primarily activated to help with more complex onboarding packages. TAs provide a technical perspective on common problems with data ingestion and export, technical implementation details, and complex use-cases.

Program Structure

The PLO TA training program is broken into three distinct sections: Intake, Technical Architect Training, and Shadowing.

You are currently completing Step 3, PLO TA Training.

Intake

Intake ensures that all TA candidates have the minimum qualifications for the position. If you're reading this, you have already completed the intake portion of the program.

Typically, you'll have done the following to complete your intake:

  • Submitted a sample presentation
    This demonstrated your consulting skills.
  • Completed the Braze Developer certification
    This demonstrated your understanding of the Braze product and the Braze SDK.

Training

This is the stage you are currently in. You will complete a series of training modules with the goal of learning the unique steps needed in a Braze onboarding.

You will do the following during the training phase:

  • Complete multimedia learning modules
    These modules give you the core knowledge of how to conduct Braze onboarding services, the role of Technical Architects, and basics of the Braze product as it relates to onboarding.
  • Complete knowledge checks
    These verify your understanding of the learning materials and your readiness to complete this stage.
  • Pass the Technical Architect certification
    This certification, designed for a general audience, tests your knowledge of Braze data ingestion methods, including the SDK and REST API. You can brush up on any product knowledge you need for this certification by taking courses as needed in the Technical Architect certification learning path.

Shadowing

Once you have passed your Braze Certified Technical Architect exam, you'll be considered PLO qualified. This means you're cleared to deliver customer-facing onboarding sessions. The first 2-3 customer projects are typically shadowed by a member of the Braze team, who supports and evaluates your initial deliveries. After successfully completing shadowing, you'll be considered PLO Validated and earn your Braze Validated Onboarding Technical Architect certification badge! This is signal that you are able to deliver customer onboarding services independently.
